Google Pixel 4 has a display panel, P-OLED HDR 5.7 inches, and it’s a great panel and gets decently brighter as well.
Samsung Galaxy S10 has a 6.1 inch dynamic AMOLED panel, and it is 1440P with a higher PPI count. The display on the Galaxy S10 looks sharper in comparison with the Pixel 4.

Samsung Galaxy S10 lacks a 90Hz refresh rate and it has an under the display ultrasonic fingerprint reader.
Google Pixel 4 comes with a big forehead and a smaller chin on the front of the device.
The forehead on the Pixel 4 contains a whole new cluster of sensors, including selfie cameras and infrared projector receivers, and radar.
There is no curve on display over the edges, but the display looks nice, and it has a 90Hz refresh rate.
This sensor cluster on Google Pixel 4 is good for two reasons.
- The fastest face unlock
- Helpful gestures
Google Pixel doesn’t have a fingerprint scanner, and it only has a face unlock. A physical fingerprint scanner would have been a great option.
Pixel 4 uses a radar sensor to project gestures around the phone when things are near it.
When you reach for your phone, the radar sensors start the infrared and face unlock sensors early, so by the time you pick the phone up, it is already reading your face and logging you in.
The face unlock feature works very fast on the Pixel 4.
Google Pixel 4 doesn’t require your attention, and it will unlock with your eyes closed.
The solution to this problem is that you turn off the skip lock screen option; this will put your phone to sleep mode.
Google Pixel 4 comes with a smooth high refresh rate 90Hz display.
Pixel 4 doesn’t have a brighter display, and sometimes the daytime visibility is very poor.
High refresh rate will drain your battery faster, but Pixel 4 manages to keep the battery in a good state.
The reason for the good battery life on Pixel 4 is that it reduces the frame rate from 90Hz to 60Hz.
If you want your display to always be at 90Hz, you can use the Force 90Hz from developer mode.
Battery life is not great on the Galaxy S10, but it’s not terrible either.

Second lens means the portrait photos will look nice, but that’s not the case here. The portrait mode fails to take proper cutout shots.
Software on the Pixel 4 doesn’t seem to be taking advantage of the telephoto lens. It uses the main camera for portrait mode photos. It uses the second camera for depth approximation.
The best thing to have a telephoto camera is for zoomed-in photos. You’ll appreciate the better super-resolution zoom.
