Google Pixel 4A specifications and other details.

Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL failed to perform well in terms of sells though the phones are feature-packed in terms of specs.

The reason why Google launched this A series of smartphones is because of the price point of its flagships. It is on the Expensive side, and nowadays, people are not willing to pay as much on the flagship devices.

Pixel series of smartphones are always known for their camera performances and pure android experience out of the box, so when we heard about the leaked specs and some renders of the phone, we felt delighted. The top pixel series with their futuristic specs never took the consumer’s attention.

Still, since Google launched this premium series of smartphones, it feels there’s a war happening in this particular category, and especially Google took a good hold of this premium category very well.

The important thing is that Google and its software make the camera game way ahead of its competition. No other company can provide such camera performance and regular software updates. We have seen these benchmarks being set by other manufacturers as well, but no one can be compared with Google.

Last year we saw that Google didn’t sell as many of its flagship phones as they were expecting, so this situation led them to understand the need for a premium smartphone category. They introduced the A series of smartphones with Pixel 3A and 3A XL.

This particular series managed to grab so much attention from the customers and fulfilled all the basic needs. Both 3A and 3A XL were designed in such a way that it’ll feel premium with all those specs but not cheap even though they used plastic when compared with the competition. The others were offering the premium feel like metal unibody construction to their smartphones, especially Xiaomi devices.

3A and 3A XL specs.

3A and 3A XL had similar specs apart from its display size. Pixel 3A had 5.6-inch OLED with 2220 x 1080 (18.5:9) aspect ratio and 3A XL 6.0-inch 2160 x 1080 (18:9) aspect ratio with an OLED display. Both phones had Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 Octa-core processor and 12.2 MP Sony IMX363 as the main camera sensor, and for the front-facing camera, they used an 8MP sensor as the selfie camera.

Enough with the Pixel 3A and 3A XL, let us discuss the Pixel 4A.

As per our last years’ experience google launched two smartphones with different screen ratio, we were speculating that Google will apply the same method for Pixel 4A. Still, the rumors suggest that this year Google will be launching only one phone in this category, like no regular or XL version. But this phone might come in three colors – black with green color power button / white with coral (orange like) power button and blue phone with the pink color button.

Form-Factor of Google Pixel 4A.

Pixel 4A might be having a 5.8″ display with 144.2×69.5×8.2 aspect ratio, plastic body with the fingerprint sensor on its back.

Pixel 4A won’t be having any forehead as its predecessor. It will come with a hole-punch display, and this display form-factor can be compared with Samsung Galaxy s10e, it has a great screen. This form-factor looks clean as far as the aesthetics go narrow bezels, no notch or chin.

Google Pixel 4A Camera.

The Pixel 4A might have only one camera with a 12MP sensor on its back with a square shape design similar to the Pixel 4 devices. Here’s a bit disappointing in terms of the camera as it will support one lens and one flash only, we are hoping to see dual camera setup at the back of the phone. Thankfully it continues to have a headphone jack.

In terms of the processor it might come with the snapdragon 730 SOC its and Octa Core 8 NM processor which comes with 2 high powered cores with 2.2 GHz and 6 low powered cores 1.8 GHz with Adreno 818 GPU and it will improve Gaming and battery performance. There’s a downside to it, which is a disappointment cause it’s a year-old processor.

We will not see the 5G connectivity in this phone, and that’s fine because the wide rollout for the 5G services is still underway. The main focus will be on the camera and software performance, and the snapdragon 730 chipset will be able to provide lag-free performance with the help of Google’s software in the Pixel 4A.

There’s no way to confirm these images are legit, one thing to notice they manage to match with the leaked renders. We may see the launch in early May due to the Corona-Virus outbreak.
