Hype vs Reality: Is OnePlus Nord a mid-range killer?

OnePlus Nord is here with a snapdragon 756G 5G chipset.

Oneplus launched its most anticipated mid-range smartphone. The Oneplus Nord launch kicked off at 07:30 pm IST with OnePlus’ Carl Pei on the stage with the help of augmented reality (AR) presentation.

Carl Pei started the presentation with their Oneplus 8 lineup. Oneplus showcased a video in which they shared how they started with the smartphone business.

Which dates back to its first flagship which was Oneplus One. In this video, they showed how they managed to put all these small pieces together.

It reminded us about the Oneplus X which followed the same ideology as the Oneplus Nord. The main thing about the Oneplus X was its pricing and the technology made available to the consumers by Oneplus and it was amazing. After the launch of Oneplus X, we never saw any smartphone from Oneplus which was targeted towards the mid-range market.

Oneplus claims that this latest smartphone will provide next-level gaming performance.

The reason behind this is Oneplus is using Qualcomm snapdragon 765G processor in this phone. This processor is known for its better gaming capabilities. With the help of the fluid 90Hz refresh rate, the gaming experience will be excellent.

The Oneplus buds come with the support of warp charge technology and it can give you the 10 hrs of playback time in just 10 mins of charge.

The Oneplus Nord is starting from RS24,999 and set to release from August 4 and it will be available on Amazon.

The Oneplus Nord is available in two colors Blue marble and Gray onyx.

The Oneplus Buds support the IPX 4 water resistance rating. Oneplus Buds come in 3 colors gray, white, and Nord blue.

To cut the price Oneplus used the UFS 2.0 storage and USB 2.0 data speeds with the support of fast charging.

The Oneplus Nord is a good package altogether, it covers all areas of a great mid-range smartphone. Big battery, Fast charging, Good screen, 90Hz high refresh rate, 5G capabilities. As far as the pricing goes the phone feels pretty neet there are no other offerings available around this price range.
