Samsung Galaxy A20 price in India starts from Rs. 11,490 and $249.99 for the US. This pricing makes this phone appealing for most people, but few Galaxy A20 Problems need to be discussed.
You can check out my detailed review of Galaxy A20.
The Samsung A20 Design
The Samsung Galaxy A20 comes with a plastic build and the phone looks decent. There are multiple colors available with this phone.
Despite having a 4000mAh battery the Galaxy A20 feels lighter and slim, you can use this phone with a single hand as well.
There is a dual sim slot in which you can install a memory card as well.
The most important factor about this phone is its display, and you get an HD+ super AMOLED display. The color reproduction and viewing angles of the display are very good.
You can watch your favorite movies and shows on Amazon Prime and Netflix in HD+ resolution.
On the front, there is a water notch cutout for the selfie camera.
Exynos 7884 Slow Performance
Exynos 7884 is at the core of this device and 3GB of RAM and 32GB of Storage is available.
The major flaw of the Galaxy A20 is its processor, the Exynos is not capable of games like PUBG or Asphalt 9.
Samsung A20 Overheating
The Galaxy A20 gets warm with just 25 mins of gameplay and due to that, you can not enjoy the high-end games.
You can encounter lags while opening or closing apps and that contributes to the poor user experience. This is one of the Galaxy A20 problems.
There are many other phones available even with the lower pricing that provide better performance than the Samsung Galaxy A20.
Samsung A20 Camera Quality
The Samsung Galaxy A20 comes with dual rear camera support which is 13MP F1.9 + 5MP F2.2.
For the selfie, there is an 8MP camera and it takes decent photos. If you’re taking selfies during day time then you will not find any problems.
The color tones are natural and the edge detection in the portrait photos looks decent.
The primary camera takes good photos but the quality is not that great.
The camera performance is mediocre and Samsung should’ve used some better lenses. There are better phones from Xiaomi which provides more reliable camera performance.
The photos taken during the night time look more grainy and noisy that is the reason why the camera feels useless during the night time.
If you need a phone that can take quality photos then this is not the phone that you’re looking for.
I’ll list some better alternatives to the Samsung Galaxy A20.
Samsung A20 Android 10
The Samsung Galaxy A20 runs on Android Pie which is based on OneUI. The OneUI provides better customizations like dark mode which is good for battery optimization.
Samsung will provide regular software updates, not specifically every month but every two-three months.
During the setup, you’ll be asked whether you want the additional software which is basically bloatware if you click no then there will be no extra software installed on your phone.
This will help you to get rid of any ads or notifications on your phone.
Samsung A20 Battery Life
The Samsung Galaxy A20 comes with a 4000mAh battery with a 15W charger which comes included in the box.
- In the battery test, the A20 lasted an impressive 13 hours and 46 minutes.
- The charging speed is pretty decent the phone gets fully charged within 90 minutes.
Because of the HD+ AMOLED screen, the phone uses very little power. If you’re playing games for a longer duration then it might impact the battery life of Galaxy A20.
I believe Samsung made this phone just for the senior citizens or for the people who want a phone for their casual needs.
Please do not expect anything special apart from the battery life and if you’re looking for a phone which fits in your budget then you can buy this phone.
Particularly the camera performance is not that good instead it feels average. The camera is there just as a feature and if you want a phone with a better camera then this is not the perfect phone for you. These are the Galaxy A20 Problems and if your can get around these issues then you can buy this phone.
The Samsung Galaxy A20 is good for only one thing and that is its battery.
If you don’t care about performance lags, and poor camera performance on the A20 then this Galaxy A20 could be a decent budget phone for you.
The Exynos 7884 is not capable of handling multiple applications in the background. Applications like chatting, social media, games, and more.
The RAM is only 3GB which is again insufficient for multitasking.
The Galaxy A20 comes with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 720×1560 pixels.
Samsung Galaxy A20 is powered by an octa-core Exynos 7884 processor that features 2 cores clocked at 1.6GHz and 6 cores clocked at 1.35GHz. It comes with 3GB of RAM. There is a fingerprint sensor on the back.
